Multilingual desktop publishing
Preparation of translated files so the final layout remains clear and fit for use.
Layouts adjusted to fit the translated text.
Manuals, presentations, print materials, graphics and documents with complex layouts.
After translation and linguistic review, text length may change. Desktop publishing adjusts layout, breaks, hyphenation, ligatures, tables, type, images and pagination so the delivered document remains readable.
Original editable files make this work easier. When only PDFs, images or missing fonts are available, we assess the feasible approach first. Final artwork and editable files can be included according to scope.
From brief to delivery.
The stages follow the scope defined in the proposal.
Source file and editable format assessment
Layout adjustments after translation
Final visual review
FILES AND MATERIALS
When available, provide editable DOCX, PPTX, IDML/INDD or AI files alongside a reference PDF. Output may include PDF/X when quoted.
Will a translated PDF keep its original layout?
That depends on the source file's quality and editability. We review it before confirming the desktop publishing scope.
Before we begin
Include desktop publishing when translation calls for layout changes, and send any available editable files with a reference PDF.
Tell us about your project.
Share your material or event details, the languages and your deadline. Our team will prepare a proposal for you.
